December 2020 Newsletter
DECEMBER NEWSLETTER
The END of 2020.
This has been a universally trying year, but you made it!
Let's make the most of this final month and welcome 2021 with open arms.
MAKING DIFFERENT CHOICES
Do you wish you had a strong database for analyzing sign CHOICES (and in context!) ? RIT with NTID has created the site ASLCORE which highlights vocabulary in Architecture, Art, Biology, Computer Science, Literature and Physics (to name a few!).
The suggested signs you see in each ASLCORE branch are developed according to ASL linguistic principles by fluent Deaf ASL signers. Their goal is to provide descriptive signs which may serve to complement other initialized or English-influenced sign choices. These signs are presented for your consideration, modification, and adoption if they function well in your work as students, professionals, teachers, or interpreters!
