Mentorship Program Summarys 2022
We have just concluded our October/November/December 2022 cycle. We had 3 mentor/mentee pairs.
Applications have just gone out for our February/March/April 2023 cycle. Applications are due by January 26, 2023.
There were exciting full participant activities in recent cycles:
Feb/March/April 2022 Anne Eaton led us in a workshop “Considerations when Interpreting in Religious settings and Religious content”.
June/July/August 2022: Jen Kagan led us in a Yoga session designed for interpreters. As well as a discussion about stress reduction, and healthy work habits as applied to our work.
This recent Oct/Nov/Dec 2022 cycle Amy Rubinger, Coordinator of the Mentorship Program, facilitated a full participant discussion about “The Lion King”/interpreter situation. Before the meeting Amy disseminated the original NY POST article as well as a pod cast with 4 BIPOC interpreters (2 discussing, 2 interpreting).
We’re looking forward to another meaningful and productive cycle!!
