June 2022 Newsletter
Steamy summer is here and the end of school is on the horizon.
Thank you for all your hard work during the 2021-2022 academic year! Masked up, vaxed up, masks off and Bend Shape Mask finally arriving?! It's been another whirlwind.
This will be our final PD Newsletter for this school year. Below you'll find resources, workshops and things to look forward to!
SHEDDING MORE LIGHT:
If you missed the NAD's webinar "Real Talk, Good Action: The Other Side", check out the info and link below!
The NAD’s priority to “Dismantle Racism in the Deaf Community,” also requires a conversation with white deaf people. Previous webinars in this series have highlighted and given space to deaf people of color – now they flip to the other side. Moderator Crystal Kelley Schwartz chats with white deaf professionals in the community about their perspective and experience on addressing racism in the deaf community.
SOAK UP SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
This summer you can focus on skills development!
With SLR's Independent PD Modules you can form a group, or be paired with interpreters, and work on specific challenges (ASL to English, Math, ELA, and Science concepts).
Know you can reach out for tailored support from the PD team.
